Lyme disease has spread dramatically in recent years. The disease is transmitted by ticks contaminated with bacteria of the genus Borrelia. No vaccine is currently available, but Valneva, a biotech company that develops innovative vaccines against infectious diseases, is working hard on a new vaccine against Lyme disease.

With the perfect technical solution for a complicated separation problem in the downstream process, ZETA made an important contribution to the production of the valuable active ingredient and thus played a significant role on the way to the early market launch of the urgently needed vaccine.
