Data recording on our website

Cookies

The Internet pages may use what are known as "cookies". Cookies do not cause any damage on your computer and they do not contain any viruses. Cookies help us to make our service provision more user friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are "session cookies" that will be automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your computing device until they are deleted by you. These cookies make it possible for us to recognise your browser again when you visit our website the next time. You can configure your browser so as to be informed about the placement of cookies, to decide to accept these on a case-by-case basis or to exclude the acceptance of incoming cookies for specific cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. Deactivation of cookies may impair the functionality of this website. Cookies that are required for electronic communication or provision of specific features you wish to use (e.g. shopping cart) will be stored on the basis of Article 6 par. 1 (f) GDPR. The website operators have a legitimate interest in saving cookies for technically flawless and optimised provision of their services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for the analysis of your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are subject of a separate paragraph of this Privacy Statement.

Server log files

The provider of the sites automatically records and saves information in server log files that your browser transmits to us automatically. These are:

  • type and version of browser
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request
  • IP address

These data will not be merged with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Article 6 par. 1 letter f GDPR that permits the processing of data for fulfilment of a contract or measures taken before a contract is entered.

Contact form

If you send queries to us via a contact form your data entered in the inquiry form, including the contact data you provide there, will be saved by us to process the inquiry and also to answer any subsequent questions. We will not transmit this data to third parties without your consent. The processing of data entered in the contact form is therefore performed exclusively on the basis of your approval (Article 6 par. 1 letter a GDPR) that may be revoked at any time. An informal e-mail message to us is sufficient for this purpose. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion from us, withdraw your consent to storage or the purpose of data storage no longer applies (e.g. when the processing of your query has been completed). Mandatory statutory provisions – storage periods in particular – shall remain unaffected therefrom.

Processing of data (customer and contract data)

We record, process and use personal data only to the extent this data is required for the establishment, content arrangement or change of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Article 6 par. 1 letter b GDPR that allows the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or measures to be taken before a contract is entered. Personal data about the use of our Internet sites (usage data) will only be recorded, processed and used by us to the extent that this is necessary to make it possible for the user to use or settle this service. Google Analytics uses "cookies", i.e. text files that are saved on your computer to allow the analysis of your use of our website. The information about your use of this website that is generated by the cookie will generally be transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it is saved. Storage of Google Analytics cookies is in compliance with Article 6 par 1 letter f GDPR. The website operator has a justified interest in the analysis of the user behaviour to optimise both its web offer and advertising.

IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation feature on this website. This means that Google will truncate your IP address within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting partners to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it will be truncated. Google will use this information upon the order of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activities and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted from your browser in the framework of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data of Google.

Browser Plugin

You may refuse the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You may also prevent the recording and processing of data referring to your use of the website (including IP address) that is generated by the cookie by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin offered under the link below: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objection to data capture

Contract data processing

We have concluded a contract for commissioned data processing with Google and are in full compliance with the strict provisions of the Austrian data protection authorities in the use of Google Analytics.

Demographic features at Google Analytics

This website uses the "demographics" feature of Google Analytics that helps to create reports containing statements on the age, sex and interests of our website visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising of Google and visitor data from third party providers. This data cannot be allocated to a specific person. You can deactivate this feature at any time in your Google account via the display settings or generally reject the collection of your data by Google Analytics by taking the steps described under "Objection to data capture".

Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you wish to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we will need your e-mail address and information that allows us to check that you are the owner of the e-mail address you provide to us and that you agree to receiving the newsletter. Other data will not be collected and/or only collected on a voluntary basis. We will use this data only for sending the information requested and will not disclose it to third parties. The data entered in the newsletter registration form will be processed only on the basis of your approval (Article 6 par. 1 letter a GDPR). The consent given to the storage of your data, the e-mail address and their use for sending out the newsletter can be withdrawn at any time, e.g. via the "Abmelden/Unsubscribe" link in the newsletter or by sending an e-mail to marketing@zeta.com. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. We will store the data disclosed by you for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter until you unsubscribe and will delete it after cancellation of the newsletter. Data saved by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for member area) will not be affected by this.

MailChimp

This website uses the services of MailChimp for the dispatch of newsletters. The service is provided by Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. When you enter data with the aim of receiving our newsletter (e.g. your e-mail address), this data will be saved on MailChimp servers in the USA. MailChimp has the "EU-US-Privacy-Shield" certification. The Privacy-Shield is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the USA intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards in the USA. We are able to analyse our newsletter campaigns by means of MailChimp. When you open an e-mail that has been sent with MailChimp, a web beacon (a file contained in the e-mail) connects with the MailChimp servers in the USA. By this means it can be determined whether a newsletter mail has been opened and which links have been clicked. Technical information is also recorded (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be associated with the respective newsletter recipient. It is used for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns only. The results of these analyses can be used to better adjust future newsletter to the interests of the recipients. If you do not wish to have any analysis carried out by MailChimp you need to unsubscribe the newsletter. Any e-mail announcing a newsletter contains a respective link to this end. Data processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Article 6 par. 1 letter a GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing the newsletter. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. The data provided to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you deregister from the newsletter and will be deleted after you have unsubscribed the newsletter from our servers and also from the MailChimp servers. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the member area) will not be affected by this. For more detailed information please refer to the data protection provisions of MailChimp at: https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.
